WCR Texas State Chapter was awarded 2010 Chapter of the Year at the NAR/WCR MidYear Meeting in Washington, D.C., attended by Chapter President Cathy Hamlin, Past President Sharon Morton, President Elect Kimberly Williams, 2010 VicePresident-Membership Pat Bumgardner, Sandra Hunt and Jim Dambeck. Greater West Houston had the honor of being awarded the 2010 Gold Excellence Award, and came in second for the WCR National Chapter of the Year award.

The June 1st Business Resource Meeting speaker was Becky HillTREPAC Co-Chair, who gave us “TX Legislative Updates-How TREPAC Protects You & Your Client”. With the current Texas Legislature in session, Becky brought our attention to issues facing our legislators regarding home ownership and the real estate industry as a whole. Along with the program, a Silent Auction was held with all proceeds benefitting TREPAC. Over $3,000 was collected and pledged, and presented to Karen Driscoll of HAR and TREPAC.

Vaughan Pederson of CleaneAir Services was awarded the "Affiliate of the Quarter" for the 2nd Quarter.
